Oil paint and oil stick on found board

This painting was late in my series of Echium paintings and went through stages until I was happy with it. The base orange layer was done very quickly by wiping away at the primed board. I then decided to draw over the top using a drawing from my sketchbook (pictured below). The drawing was done late at night on my bedroom floor in the dark. I was making marks in reaction to how I felt while listening to music.
